Business Analyst
Work Location: Washington, DC Area with work from home and in-person (hybrid) scheduling.
Inspirata Consulting, LLC (Inspirata) is currently seeking a Business Analyst to join our growing team. This Business Analyst will provide business requirements development and Agile development support. The Business Analyst will also:

Work closely with senior Business and Product Owners to understand business challenges and translate those into technical specifications for a team of Architects, Database Engineers, Software Engineers, Testers, and other technical staff using Agile practices/methodologies.

Develop an understanding of the needs of the business stakeholders and translating those needs into projects / releases / work assignments for the team, that will achieve the business requirements.

Stay ahead of the development team’s sprint schedule, delivering thorough and complete requirements documentation, develop comprehensive requirements for all items associated with the sprint backlog. Communicate those requirements with the development technical lead, development team, and quality assurance teams

Develop, analyze, prioritize, and organize requirement specifications, data mapping, diagrams, and flowcharts for developers and testers to follow.

Work with the stakeholders on the maintenance of the product backlog of each system.

Verify all business requirements documentation have been stored and are complete.

Facilitate weekly User Group meetings of all applications.

Create and maintain a list of change requests and defects
-
Coordinate the business requirements activities of the business solutions applications.

Work with informal and formal feedback from the stakeholders to log all requests.

Perform an initial analysis to provide sufficient clarification of each Change Request (CR) requirements for the Change Control Board (CCB) review.

Attend all project and production support meetings to provide issues resolutions and guidance to the development, quality assurance, and production support teams.

Recommend methods to refine current processes.

Provide comprehensive status and progress reviews to project and program manager and senior management.

Develop reports using MS Project Online, SharePoint, and MS Excel data sets.
Required Skills
-
Bachelor's degree.
-
7+ years of IT/business analyst experience.
-
Expert in the field of IT Business Analyst Support
-
5+ years of experience providing IT/business analytical support in a Federal consulting environment.
-
Proven ability to assess business needs and translate them into relevant solutions.
-
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification (Preferred).
-
Agile certifications, such as SAFe, Agilist, or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) (Preferred).
-
Expert business, analytical, and process improvement skills.
-
Strong management and team optimization experience.
-
Expertise with both agile and waterfall environments.
-
Expert in using all Microsoft Suite Products (including SharePoint, Excel, and Power Point).
-
Experience in O&M disciplines, using Agile Methodology.
-
Familiarity with Oracle Documentum (DMS), Oracle's E-Business, Informatica’s Master Data Management (MDM), Oracle’s Data Integrator (ODI).

Experience working in a financial environment (e.g. loans, guarantees, insurance, etc.) , preferably in a Federal consulting environment.

Familiarity with Federal IT security controls and Audit Standards (Preferred).

Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
